Fantastic resource! Jan 20, 2009

We purchased this for our home school curriculum, and I am so glad that it is part of our library. Our children hung on every word, and the illustrations are very well done and captivating. This really brings to life the stories of those who shaped events of history.

Interesting stuff Nov 11, 2011
By Jetpack This is a review of the Kindle version, so no issues with the pages.
This starts with famous men (and Joan of Arc) of the 4th Century and moves forward in time. It's not a ton of info. on each, but certainly worth a read if you like a history.
Happily, the photos are reproduced, so that is quite useful.
Unfortunately, it needs a good editing, as there are a number of typos in this version, and the formatting needs a good cleaning.

Great content, horrible binding. Dec 05, 2008
By Jill Mayfield The contents of this book are excellent and have served as a great supplement to our homeschool high school course on the Middle Ages, however, after only two months, the pages are falling out of the book.
Since this is a classic, you may find it by a different publisher. Avoid this version.

Beautiful book, great content and pictures. But after only 2 months we have sections of the book falling out. If not for that I would have given it 5 stars.
Binding Needs A Bit More Attention Nov 12, 2011
By Julie Its a good book we enjoined it and as I being the first reader I noticed the binding breaking and pages falling out to where I had to tape back together...for the price of the book I think it should stay together well enough to read it. I could not give it a higher rating because of the way thee book performed I truly think even with us having to keep pages together it over all was a good book.
